On Algebraic Properties of Generalized Inverses of Matrices

چکیده
In this paper, we will study algebraic properties of the generalized inverses of the sum and the product of two matrices. By using rank additivity we explicit the generalized inverse of the sum of two matrices if their range spaces are not disjoint and we give a numerical example in this case. We will also use projectors to express the general form of a generalized inverse of the product of two matrices. Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 15A09,15A03, 15A23; Secondary 15A04, 15A21

Numerical solution of Fredholm integral-differential equations on unbounded domain
In this study, a new and efficient approach is presented for numerical solution of Fredholm integro-differential equations (FIDEs) of the second kind on unbounded domain with degenerate kernel based on operational matrices with respect to generalized Laguerre polynomials(GLPs). Properties of these polynomials and operational matrices of integration, differentiation are introduced and are ultili...
متن کاملThe reverse order law for Moore-Penrose inverses of operators on Hilbert C*-modules
Suppose $T$ and $S$ are Moore-Penrose invertible operators betweenHilbert C*-module. Some necessary and sufficient conditions are given for thereverse order law $(TS)^{ dag} =S^{ dag} T^{ dag}$ to hold.In particular, we show that the equality holds if and only if $Ran(T^{*}TS) subseteq Ran(S)$ and $Ran(SS^{*}T^{*}) subseteq Ran(T^{*}),$ which was studied first by Greville [{it SIAM Rev. 8 (1966...
متن کاملMax-min ranks of products of two matrices and their generalized inverses
The present author recently established (J. Inequal. Appl., DOI: 10.1186/s13660016-1123-z) a group of exact formulas for calculating the maximum and minimum ranks of the products BA, and derived many algebraic properties of BA from the formulas, where A and B are two complex matrices such that the product AB is defined, and A and B are the {i, . . . , j}-inverses of A and B, respectively. As a ...

In this paper, we present purely algebraic necessary and sufficient conditions for reverse order laws for {1, 2, 3} and {1, 2, 4}-generalized inverses on the set of matrices. 2010Mathematics Subject Classification: 15A09
متن کاملOn a new generalized inverse for matrices of an arbitrary index
The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new generalized inverse, called DMP inverse, associated with a square complex matrix using its Drazin and Moore-Penrose inverses. DMP inverse extends the notion of core inverse, introduced by O.M. Baksalary and G. Trenkler for matrices of index at most 1 in [Core inverse of matrices, Linear and Multilinear Algebra, 2010, 681–697] to matrices of an arb...
